Q: Movies, the newsletter, and @QMoviesHQ (with a bot called Marki)
Grok Bot drafted the launch plan in Notion, wrote house-author sample reviews with a plagiarism check, stood up our X account, and spun up Marki to keep marketing from eating every evening.
Main point: Q: Movies, its newsletter and @QMoviesHQ are one system, and Grok Bot (plus a marketing bot called Marki) lets me run it without a marketing department.
Q: Movies is the public side of the obsession behind QUE: helping people decide what to watch without the noise.
Plan first
Grok Bot helped me draft a launch plan in Notion: audience, tone, weekly rhythm, SEO pillars and what "done" means for the first 90 days. Grok does strategy and first drafts. I do taste, final edits and anything under my name.
House voices, checked
Grok wrote three sample reviews in different styles. Each passed a plagiarism check before going into the CMS. Drafts I can defend, not AI slop.
X, SEO and Marki
- X: bio options, pinned post ideas and a reply style guide so the account sounds like someone who watches films
- SEO: titles that match search intent, links between reviews and lists, and metadata for queries like "where to watch" and "ending explained"
- Marki handles the repetitive work: social variants, subject lines, UTM tracking and weekly notes to Notion. I approve anything public.
Why it matters
Scribbles is where I think out loud, QUE is where I test product craft, and Q: Movies tests whether the same agents can run a media brand. So far, yes, as long as the bots have clear jobs and the taste stays human.
