About Unplanned OS

What Unplanned OS is for, how Scribbles fits in, and why this site is both portfolio and playground.

Main point: Unplanned OS is my personal operating system on the web, a real desktop of apps that works as both portfolio and playground. Scribbles is where the writing lives.

This is the project companion to my About Me story.

Scribbles

Scribbles holds articles, experiments and collections like reading lists in one calm reader, with deep links so any story can be opened from anywhere in the OS. You're reading this inside it. It uses TipTap for editing, a formatting menu when you select text, and templates for essays, reading lists and case studies.

What you're looking at

A Next.js React app with deliberate constraints (semantic theming, shared components, consistent app patterns) so it feels like one product, not a pile of demos.

Why an OS?

Portfolios lie when everything is flattened into one template. I wanted something that reflects how I think: several modes and speeds, and a sense of where things live. If it feels like a slightly obsessive desk, that's the intent. It will keep changing, and if something looks rough, it's probably honest.
